ISSUES: ABORTION RIGHTS & FAMILY PLANNING
In the interest of being completely transparent on this topic, I’m a Roman Catholic. I’m also a proud Democrat and a firm believer that the decisions regarding abortion are deeply personal and are best left to the individual woman, and that a woman’s right to choose must be protected. I believe that ideally, abortions should be rare, definitely safe and most certainly legal.
As a public school teacher, I work with families of all backgrounds, and I understand that organizations such as Planned Parenthood serve an important role in the family planning process.
